Panda Surgical appoints Mr. Hani Marcus as Chief Medical Officer
London, UK — July 16, 2024 — Panda Surgical announced today that Mr. Hani Marcus, PhD, FRCS, will act as their new Chief Medical Officer.
Hani is an academic consultant neurosurgeon at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. He is a world-renown expert in “keyhole” endoscopic surgical approaches, and in the development and evaluation of novel technologies for these complex procedures.
His role as the Panda Surgical CMO will be to provide strategic clinical leadership and guide the Panda Surgical robotic platform development, overseeing its clinical validation and regulatory approval. He will ensure that all medical aspects of the company's products align with the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care, and he will manage relationships with various stakeholders. His vast experience in novel technologies research, as well as evaluation and validation, will help accelerate the pathway towards regulatory approval while also identifying new clinical opportunities and market trends to drive innovation and growth.
